Founder & Executive Director

As the visionary behind Basic Life Uganda, Mr. Okalany Martin founded the organization in 2017 with a deep faith-based conviction to serve Uganda's most vulnerable communities. His personal experiences witnessing poverty's impact on families inspired him to create sustainable solutions that address both immediate needs and long-term development.

"Our work is not just about providing aid; it's about restoring dignity, building capacity, and empowering communities to become agents of their own transformation."

With over 15 years of experience in community development and social work, Martin provides strategic leadership while maintaining close connection with the communities we serve. His hands-on approach and compassionate leadership continue to inspire the entire B.L.U team.
